       "Water Cube" in Beijing Olympic Park， which with the wall separating the "Bird's Nest" and known as the Beijing Olympic Games along with the two landmark buildings. 

         December 24， 2003， the National Swimming Center (Water Cube) and the National Stadium (Bird's Nest) at the same time under construction.

         National Swimming Center， general manager of Conway said that the blue color of the water molecules in the east building and the "Bird's Nest"， a round one， reflecting China's "hemispherical dome" building concept.      

        With the main stadium "Bird's Nest" design than the "Water Cube" reflects the more women like soft， one masculine， one feminine， in sharp contrast to the highly visual impact.

“水立方”位於北京奧林匹克公園內，它與一牆之隔的“鳥巢”一起被並稱為北京奧運會兩大標誌性建築物。2003年12月24日，國家游泳中心(水立方)與國家體育場(鳥巢)同時開工建設。國家游泳中心公司總經理康偉說，這個湛藍色的水分子建築與東面的“鳥巢”，一圓一方，體現了中國“天圓地方”建築理念。與主場館“鳥巢”的設計相比，“水立方”體現了更多的女性般的柔美，一個陽剛，一個陰柔，形成鮮明對比，在視覺上極具衝擊力。
