turn off跟shut down的分別

turn off指的是把……關閉，比如turn off the light/fan/television意思是把燈/風扇/電視關掉，表示暫時不再使用。而shut down的意思是關停，關閉，停工的意思，表示長久的關閉。比如，the factory was shut down due to pandemics 工廠因疫情停工關閉了，或者倒閉了的意思。
