用法歸納：

1、 關係副詞在定語從句中的基本用法：when作時間狀語，where作地點狀語，why作原因狀語（先行詞只有reason一詞）在定語從句中，關係副詞一般可轉化為“介詞 + which / whom”。

2、 “介詞 + which / whom”中的介詞，可置於從句之前，也可置於從句之後，但以置於從句之前較為正式。“介詞 + which / whom”中只能用which指代物，用whom指代人。但含有介詞的短語動詞一般不拆開，介詞仍放在動詞的後面。

如：

The teacher from whom I learnt most was Mrs. Zhu.

The machine which I have looked after for twenty years is still working well
