當prove作系動詞“證實是…”時，沒有被動語態。

prove

（1）實義動詞 ：證明、證實

prove sth （to sb.）：

They hope this new evidence will prove her innocence.他們希望這一新證據能證明她無罪。

Her innocence has been proved.她的清白得到了證實。

（被動語態表示某件事得到了證明）

prove + that/wh-

This just proves what I have been saying for some time.這恰好證實了我長久以來所說的。

He has proved his courage in the battle.他已在這場戰鬥中證明了自己的勇氣。

（2）系動詞：後來被發現是最終顯現為

=turn out 無被動結構。

其後可接“(to be)+ adj./prep. -phrase”或介詞短語作表語。

The promotion proved to be a turning point in his career.這次的提升最後成了他職業生涯的一個轉折點。

Robots haveproved very useful in the handing of hot or dangerous components.機器人在處理一些高溫、危險的元件上是很有用的。

prove是一個主動表被動的詞，作為形容詞時，它可以用被動形式表示被證實的事，eg.a proven speech 但是，在句子中做動詞時，是不能用被動語態的，eg.只能說The news proved true或The news proved to be true .不能說The news is proved to be true

prove可以作系動詞、實意動詞。 作為系動詞，它後跟表語（形容詞、名詞、不定式），但不能用於被動語態作為實意動詞，它有被動式，其用法是： prove + 賓語 （+ to be）+形容詞、名詞prove＋賓語從句It is / has been proved that …（已經）證明（證實）…… prove sth to sb 。例如：

This answer proves （to be）wrong.

He proves （to be）a thief.

He proves the answer （to be）right.

We have proved the man （to be ）a doctor.

This evidence proves that he is innocent.
