there is和there are的就近原則

      there be 句型中的be 的選擇規則就是“就近原則”.

       there is和there are 要看後面的主語，be動詞的選擇和後面緊挨著的那個主語一致。

There is a  ruler，two books and three pens in my bag .

There are two books ，a  ruler and  three

books in my bag.

There is an apple and two oranges on the table. 

there is後面跟單數，there are後面跟複數，就近原則是指離後面跟誰就用誰的單複數，如，跟apples就用there are，跟an apple就用there is

在there be句型中，如果"be"後的主語是由and連線的兩個或兩個以上的名詞，那麼be的形式要遵循就近原則，"be”的形式是由與它最近的那個名詞來確定的。若那個名詞是單數或不可數名詞要用is ， 是複數就用are
